ABSTRACT
The main purpose of the study is to examine and uncover the shortcomings in contextual, methodological and conceptual basis of the literature, and to synthesize gaps, into an integrative conceptual framework that advances sustainable HRM, green HRM and workforce development practices. This study identifies 21 types of gaps from the existing literature. This article systematically revisits Sustainable HRM, Green HRM and Workforce Development practices, by identifying gaps across 35 research article from Scopus indexed, in the timeframe of 2015 to 2025. Moreover, these gaps were represented by using a frequency distribution table, and gaps occurring in more than 50% of the reviewed studies were considered as key gaps. Those key gaps were further discussed for deeper insights and proposes a conceptual framework linking antecedents of- green culture, leadership, institutional pressure, digital readiness, mechanisms of- green knowledge sharing, psychological climate, self-efficacy, and outcomes are- green creativity, sustainability performance, workforce development, bounded by the identified methodological and contextual limitations. The analysis translates these insights into practical implications for organisations covering HR systems, leadership development, knowledge sharing, and performance tracking, alongside recommendations for future research using longitudinal, multi-method designs.
