Social protection plays a crucial role in reducing poverty and fostering economic growth by providing financial security and improving access to essential services. This paper explores the relationship between social protection mechanisms, poverty alleviation, and economic growth. It examines how social protection schemes—such as cash transfers, unemployment benefits, health insurance, and social pensions—contribute to improving living standards, enhancing human capital, and stimulating economic activity. The study highlights case studies from various countries to demonstrate the positive impact of well-implemented social protection programs. Furthermore, it discusses the challenges in extending social protection coverage and the policy measures required to strengthen social security frameworks for sustainable economic growth. This literature review examines the impact of social protection programs, including cash transfers, social insurance, and labor market interventions, on poverty reduction and economic development. The findings suggest that well-designed social protection programs contribute to inclusive economic growth, enhance productivity, and reduce inequality.
